Privacy Policy

01What we collect

• Account details — your email address and the credentials you sign in with.
• Scrape results — the ad creatives and metadata (page names, ad text, formats, dates, Ad Library IDs) that your Helper collects from Meta’s public Ad Library, stored against your account so you can come back to them.
• Your Gemini API key — stored encrypted; see section 5.
• A session token — so you stay signed in between visits.
• Standard server logs — timestamps, requested endpoints, and IP addresses, kept briefly for security and debugging, like almost every web service.

02What we don’t collect

• No third-party advertising trackers or analytics pixels on the site or in the app.
• No payment details today — there’s nothing to pay yet. When paid plans launch, payments will go through a dedicated payment processor and card numbers will never touch our servers.
• Nothing from your computer beyond what the Helper is built to upload: scrape results. The Helper doesn’t read your files, watch your browsing, or collect anything else from your machine.

03How we use your information

Only to run Crevo for you: signing you in, storing and showing your scrape results, calling Gemini when you ask for an analysis, emailing you about your account or meaningful service changes, answering support requests, and keeping the service safe from abuse.

We never sell your personal data, and we don’t share it with anyone for their marketing.

04Where scraping happens (and what Meta sees)

All collection is done by the Crevo Helper, a desktop app running on your own computer. Its requests go to Meta’s public Ad Library directly from your device — so from Meta’s side, the traffic looks like you browsing the Ad Library, and Meta sees your IP address, exactly as it would in a normal browser session.

Crevo’s servers never contact Meta. Their only role is receiving the results your Helper uploads and storing them under your account. We send Meta nothing about you.

05Your Gemini API key

You bring your own Google Gemini API key for AI analysis. We store it encrypted at rest and use it for one purpose only: calling the Gemini API on your behalf when you request an analysis. When that happens, the ad text and creatives you chose to analyze are sent to Google’s Gemini API under your key, and Google handles that data under its own terms. You can remove your key from Crevo at any time.

06Third parties we rely on

Crevo is built on a small set of infrastructure providers:

Each provider processes data only as needed to provide its service to us (or, for Gemini and Meta, directly to you).

07Cookies & localStorage

The only things Crevo puts in your browser are a session token to keep you signed in and small interface preferences (like your light/dark theme choice) in localStorage. There are no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no fingerprinting.

08How long we keep data

We keep your account data and scrape results for as long as your account exists — that’s the point of storing them, so your research is there when you come back. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your account record, scrape results, and encrypted API key from our live systems within 30 days, and residual copies clear out of backups shortly after. Short-lived server logs expire on their own.

09Your rights

Wherever you live, we extend the same rights to everyone. You can:

• access what we hold about you and ask for a copy;
• correct anything inaccurate;
• delete your account and everything tied to it;
• remove your Gemini key at any time from the app.

10Security

Data moves over encrypted connections (TLS), your Gemini key is encrypted at rest, and access to production systems is limited to what’s needed to run the service. That said, no online service can honestly promise perfect security — so please use a password you don’t reuse elsewhere, and tell us right away if you suspect something is wrong with your account.

11Changes & contact

If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top and flag anything material by email or in the app. This page is written to be understood rather than to impress lawyers — but it isn’t a substitute for legal advice, so if anything is unclear, ask.
